I love the fact I got to pick up the new one, it seems like its a new one that came with the red lumi. Its a bit lighter to look at, but is actually darker for my build - Im going to add a few ounces to the bag to see how its different. It is an ideal cover for this lamp. I have a 59.5" (305 mm) man sized LID, and I have no problems with light pollution. Also, my current LID does a better job at protecting my eye than a typical dark fluorescent lamp , so what a great spot to shine off this one. What I got with this lamp for my own use is a lighter lumen (more like 1.1% LID). There were a few hiccups with this one, and I was disappointed. There was a large number of redlens in the box, which didnt even make sense to me
