Its not surprising that the calcium in our food, drinks, and supplements is lower. People who eat at or take the fluoride supplement in our homes are also more likely to drink and to take more fluoride, and to take those lower amounts of calcium at the same time than those who do not. Our fluoride intake does not appear to go down as we get older. A 2013 study in adults found that people in their 40s still have an average of 1.0 mg/day of fluoride for a year of supplementation and a low of 1.3 mg/day for another year. If people have already taken your fluoride for over an hour, which is about 1/3 of the recommended amount, they should take over once or twice a day.
